We’ve had enough movement since the first version of this board to make an update necessary. Fall camp, depth-chart battles, injuries, role changes, and preseason buzz have already started shifting how I view several players in this class. Some prospects have strengthened their position, others have created more questions, and a few names are beginning to push their way into the conversation.
The overall outlook on the 2027 class remains extremely strong. The quarterback group still carries legitimate first-round NFL Draft upside, the wide receiver depth continues to look like one of the biggest strengths of the cycle, and the running back hierarchy is beginning to take shape. There is also more tight end upside here than we saw in the previous class, which only adds to the potential depth of future rookie drafts.
This is still early, and these rankings are going to move significantly once real games begin. That’s the point of this exercise. I want this board to serve as a snapshot of where the market and my evaluations stand before Week 1, then we can track which players rise, fall, or completely change the conversation as the season unfolds.
So with camp behind us and the 2026 college football season ready to begin, let’s get into my current Top 24 prospects in the 2027 Superflex class.
Superflex Preview Big Board
What Changed Since My First Big Board?
Dante Moore Is Now My QB1
This is easily the biggest change. Moore moves from 1.05 all the way to 1.02, jumping Arch Manning, Julian Sayin, and Bryant Wesco. The more I have gone back through this quarterback class, the more comfortable I have become betting on Moore’s combination of arm talent, processing, and NFL upside. There are still things I want to see this season, but entering Week 1, he is the quarterback I feel best about in the 2027 class. He has legitimate top-of-the-NFL-Draft upside, and in Superflex, that gives him a real argument to eventually challenge Jeremiah Smith for the 1.01 depending on team need.
Cam Coleman Makes the Jump Into the Elite Tier
Coleman moves from 1.06 to 1.03, and I’m willing to plant my flag here before the season starts. The move to Texas gives him an opportunity to finally pair his physical talent with an offense capable of maximizing it. At 6’3”, 204 pounds, Coleman has the size, athleticism, ball skills, and vertical ability I want when betting on an elite NFL receiver prospect. NFL evaluators are taking notice too. For fantasy purposes, I’m betting on the ceiling. If Coleman puts everything together this year, 1.03 might actually look conservative.
Trey’Dez Green Is Forcing His Way Up the Board
One of the biggest changes for me since my first Big Board is Trey’Dez Green, who has climbed from 2.08 all the way to 2.01. The more I evaluate Green, combined with what we are hearing out of fall camp, the harder it is to keep him buried in the second round. At 6’7”, 237 pounds, Green is simply a different type of weapon at tight end. His basketball background shows up immediately at the catch point. He can extend outside his frame, win above defenders, and essentially give his quarterback a massive margin for error. LSU has also shown that he doesn’t have to be a traditional in-line tight end. He can operate from the slot, split out wide, and create mismatches against linebackers and defensive backs.
Then there is what we’re hearing from fall camp. Green has been killing it in Lane Kiffin’s system, and that’s important for his projection. Kiffin has consistently found ways to manufacture favorable matchups for his best offensive weapons, and Green has the versatility to be moved all over the formation. If that translates into a major receiving role this season, his production ceiling changes quickly. He also brings more after the catch than you would expect from someone his size. Green produced 176 yards after the catch in 2025, showing that he’s not simply a jump-ball target. Get him moving down the seam or into space and he’s capable of turning into a problem for defenders. That’s ultimately why I needed to move him up. The physical profile, receiving ceiling, positional value, and offensive situation are becoming too difficult to ignore. In a TE Premium rookie draft, Green has a legitimate path to becoming a first-round selection, and entering Week 1, I’m willing to get ahead of that possibility. At 2.01, he is already knocking on the door.
