🧊 Section 1: Stock Up / Stock Down (Temperature Check)

Tracking player value swings that impact lineups, trades, and long-term outlook.

We’re seven weeks in, and player values are already on the move. Every week brings risers and fallers, but these are the swings that matter most, breakouts you can lean into, and red flags you’ll want to keep an eye on.

Stock Up

RB Cameron Dickey, Texas Tech

Cameron Dickey just announced himself to the college football world. In Texas Tech’s 38–24 win over Kansas, the sophomore back erupted for 263 rushing yards and two touchdowns, putting up the best rushing performance of the week across the Power Four. Both of his scores came on explosive plays, part of a night where six of his 21 carries went for 10+ yards.

The offensive line deserves its flowers (nearly 75% of his yards came before contact), but Dickey made the most of every crease with elite patience and vision. His ability to press the hole, manipulate defenders, and explode once lanes opened showcased next-level feel.

Through seven weeks, he’s been one of the most efficient backs in college football — leading the nation in First Down + TD Rate (41.3%) among players with 55+ carries and averaging 7.1 yards per touch. Not bad for a player projected as a backup before Week 1.

🏈 C2C Takeaway:
Dickey’s blend of burst, vision, and contact balance makes him one of the fastest risers in CFF and C2C formats. Texas Tech has leaned on him heavily in conference play, and with his current usage, he’s playing his way into long-term devy conversations.

WR Lotzier Brooks, Alabama

Alabama’s freshman phenom is starting to quietly take flight. In a game loaded with veteran playmakers, Lotzeir Brooks became the Crimson Tide’s leading receiver in their 27–24 win over Missouri, catching four passes for 58 yards, including the defining play of the night.

Facing a critical 4th-and-8 from the Missouri 38, Ty Simpson dropped back and found Brooks streaking across the middle for a clutch 29-yard gain that set up Alabama’s game-winning touchdown just four plays later.

Kalen DeBoer trusted his young receiver in a must-convert situation, and Brooks delivered with the poise of a senior. Simpson later praised him as “a big-time player,” adding that “he might be 5’11, but he plays like he’s 6’5.”

Brooks now has 13 catches for 216 yards on the season, but the box score doesn’t capture his growing impact. With Ryan Williams banged up and Germie Bernard drawing more defensive attention, Brooks has become Alabama’s momentum player, the one who delivers in high-leverage situations.

🏈 C2C Takeaway:
Brooks is trending up as a reliable playmaker in Ryan Grubb’s offense. His work ethic and physicality after the catch make him a “missed-tackle-force machine” per Grubb and he’s carving out a larger role every week. In C2C and devy formats, this is the kind of early freshman involvement that foreshadows long-term breakout potential.
