C2C Strategy + Start/Sit Guide - Week 4
Winning your college matchups with data, system insights, and waiver wire moves.
Each Tuesday throughout the season, this article will serve as your go-to resource for winning the college side of your C2C leagues. Whether you're grinding waivers, setting optimal lineups, or looking to exploit matchups based on offensive systems, this guide will cover it all.
We’ll break down key waiver adds, dive into start/sit decisions using matchup data and usage trends, and highlight which college offenses you need pieces of (or should be fading). Plus, Jay’s Data Corner will give you a weekly dose of analytics to sharpen your process.
If you're trying to win Saturdays and set up your dynasty roster for Sundays, this is the article for you. Let’s get into it.
🧊 Section 1: Stock Up / Stock Down (Temperature Check)
Tracking player value swings that impact lineups, trades, and long-term outlook.
We’re four weeks into the season, and the board is already shifting. While dozens of players are gaining or losing steam every week, these are the ones that stand out to me the most, whether it’s a breakout you can buy into or a warning sign you shouldn’t ignore.
Stock Up
CJ Bailey, QB, NC State (Stock Up)
CJ Bailey is quietly becoming one of the better stories of the 2025 season. The 6-foot-6 sophomore has strung together three straight impressive performances to open the year, showing command, poise, and dual-threat ability that’s raising eyebrows in devy and C2C circles. Against UVA, it was his legs that changed the game. Against Wake Forest, it was his arm, 200+ yards and 3 touchdowns while distributing the ball to seven different targets and looking in total control of the offense.
Through three games, Bailey is completing 71.9% of his passes for 719 yards and 5 touchdowns, adding 3 scores on the ground. He currently ranks:
11th among Power 4 QBs in QBR (83.3)
6th in PFF grade (87.1)
5th in pressure-to-sack ratio (5.4%)
He’s operating in a well-designed system under Kurt Roper that plays to his strengths, quick reads, balanced tempo, and designed runs, and he’s executing at a high level. There’s still some concern with how many hits he’s taking, especially on QB draws, but the trajectory here is undeniable.
Bailey is flying under the radar right now in devy circles but could be a fast riser in the 2027 NFL Draft conversation. His blend of size, mobility, and polish is hard to ignore.
🔥 Takeaway: One of the biggest early-season value climbers. Legitimate devy and C2C riser
Bo Jackson, RB, Ohio State (Stock Up)
I had Bo Jackson as my RB1 before it was cool and now the rest of the country is starting to catch up.
What we saw Saturday night in The Horseshoe wasn’t just a flash, it was confirmation. Bo Jackson is the best running back on Ohio State’s roster. Period. He finished with nine carries for 109 yards (12.1 YPC), including a 64-yard burst that showcased the rare juice and vision he brings to this backfield. And even if you take that one away, which, let’s be honest, why would you? He still averaged over 5.6 yards per carry. Meanwhile, CJ Donaldson and James Peoples combined for just 86 yards on 16 carries.
But it’s not just about the box score. When the Buckeyes needed a spark, they went to Bo. When they needed a play, he made it. His presence opens up the offense in a way that Donaldson and Peoples simply don’t. You could feel the difference when he wasn’t on the field, the tempo lagged, the momentum stalled, and drives lost rhythm.
Ohio State’s passing game is elite, but it needs a run threat to keep defenses honest. Jackson is that threat. He's not a complete back yet, he needs polish in pass pro and ball security, but he's trending in that direction fast. With the bye week coming before Big Ten play begins against Washington, don’t be surprised if Jackson’s role expands even further. Whether he’s listed as the starter or not, he's going to see starter-level touches moving forward.
🔥 Takeaway: One of the most dynamic true freshmen in the country. Lock him into your C2C lineups and buy everywhere in devy before he’s untouchable.
Chris Brazzell II, WR, Tennessee (Stock Up)
