Who is TJ Moore?
Moore was a five-star in the composites who attended Tampa Catholic High in Tampa, Florida. As a Senior, Moore had 50 receptions for 1,272 yards and 17 touchdowns. Moore was a riser during the All-Star circuit and became a top 25 overall recruit in the composite. Moore held 49 offers and committed to Clemson in the summer of 2023, never wavering from that commitment. Moore was not an early enrollee and did not participate in the spring, but he is now enrolled and will be part of the strength and conditioning program before fall camp as he competes for a spot in Clemson’s rotation.
Moore was asked to run vertical routes as they wanted to use his strengths as an athlete and someone who tracks the football well and has strong hands at the catch point. Moore was a player who would bail out his quarterback as he would throw it up, and Moore would run under it and use his traits to win and get the ball. Moore has all the athletic traits you want to see in a big-bodied physical receiver with athleticism to take the top off a defense. Moore is a playmaker in every sense of the word. Moore has a great release package that allows him to get upfield.
With a large catch radius, Moore is a natural in contested catches and excels at high-pointing the ball. Moore is that typical Clemson wide receiver who plays above the rim, is athletically gifted, and can use more refinement. Moore is an exciting prospect and is easily viewed as a high-floor playmaker in the next few years at Clemson.
