Devy Digest: Monday Musings - Week 5
Andy Pham covers the fifth week of college football, including CFF/C2C Waivers and much more.
Prelude: Our Monday Musings article will wrap up the week that was. We’ll cover stock up, stock down, and some names to watch who might flirt with the devy landscape. We’ll discuss the waiver wire of your C2C leagues, how to structure each player, the allocation you should give to each potential pickup, and the reasoning behind it.
Devy Stock Up ⬆️
USC WR Ja’Kobi Lane (2026)
All offseason, Lane was someone that I was intrigued with. He was the least of the four high-profile freshman receivers who enrolled at USC last year. The advantage Lane had was his size and athletic traits. Makai Lemon and Zachariah Branch are more twitchy receivers who work better in the slot, and Duce Robinson is trying to play baseball and football. Lane took advantage this offseason and won the starting X-receiver role for USC. Lane started the season with a touchdown against LSU and another in a loss to Michigan. Against Wisconsin, Lane put everything together with ten receptions, 105 yards, and two touchdowns. Lane is showcasing his athletic abilities and length in the red zone and Quarterback Miller Moss was looking for him in key situations. If Lane continues his play, he is the receiver you want at USC.
Washington WR Denzel Boston (2025)
Boston had a slow start to the season but has 30 targets in the last three games. The 6’4 receiver has used his body to his advantage. Boston has done well in contested catches, coming down with eight of 13 opportunities and seven touchdowns on the season; Boston has a knack for finding the endzone. Boston has good size and length and is playing the Tetairoa McMillan role to perfection in Jedd Fisch's system.
Georgia WR Dillon Bell (2025)
Bell has always been a gadgety receiver who is good with the ball in his hands. He has been used primarily in short targets. This season, Georgia has expanded his route tree, and we see intermediate and deep routes. Bell has blossomed for Georgia and, against Alabama, was the go-to receiver for Carson Beck. With a rushing touchdown and a receiving touchdown, Bell is becoming a complete player who could garner day two draft capital.
Devy Stock Down ⬇️
USC WR Zachariah Branch (2026)
Branch is the same player he was last year and has not transformed his game the way most have hoped. He’s still a gadgety option who doesn’t have a diverse route tree. Branch is electric with the ball in his hands but has failed to be a home-run threat. The coaches emphasized that Branch needed to improve his route running. Branch just might be an expensive Barion Brown.

Texas WR DeAndre Moore Jr (2026)
The outlook on Moore would be different if his early touchdown against Michigan counted and if he had not been called back due to a penalty. Moore finally got into the statistical column with four receptions for 103 yards and two touchdowns. What Moore might need is Arch Manning. The two formed an instant connection in the spring game that parlayed into an actual game against Mississippi State. Moore has been a player that I’ve been higher on than most, and maybe this type of performance will springboard him weekly, but this is more of a 2025 play, a player to watch.
