Dynasty Fantasy Football: Post-NFL Draft Winners
Kevin looks at players who are winners post NFL Draft.
Now that the NFL Draft is officially in the books, it's time to recalibrate dynasty values heading into the summer. While rookie hype is dominating timelines, today we’re shifting the focus back to the veterans — the players whose dynasty stock quietly (or loudly) just got a boost. Whether it’s because their teams passed on adding major rookie competition, or because their supporting cast was upgraded around them, several veterans are sitting in a much better spot than they were a month ago.
In this article, we’ll dive into some of the biggest post-draft winners, break down why their value is rising, and explore whether you should be buying, selling, or holding in your dynasty leagues.
Let’s get to it.
Quarterback Winners
The dust has settled from the draft, and some quarterbacks walked away as clear winners. Whether it was avoiding competition, getting upgrades at key positions, or simply having their situation solidified, these quarterbacks saw their dynasty outlook improve. Below, we break down which signal-callers came out on top, where their value stands, and how you should approach them in trades.
Caleb Williams, Chicago Bears
Everything about Chicago’s offseason pointed toward building around Caleb Williams. The Bears rebuilt the interior of their offensive line, trading for Joe Thuney and Jonah Jackson, and signing center Drew Dalman to a massive deal. Then they doubled down on giving Williams weapons, selecting TE Colston Loveland and WR Luther Burden with their first two picks. Add that to a group already featuring DJ Moore, Rome Odunze, Cole Kmet, and D’Andre Swift, and it’s clear the Bears are doing everything possible to set Williams up for success.
The expectations are sky-high — we're talking MVP-level — and while individual target competition could limit some skill players' upside, the overall offensive environment is a massive win for Williams. I was already high on him pre-draft thanks to Ben Johnson's system, but now with this supporting cast, he's jumped into my top eight dynasty QBs. If you bought early, congratulations — you’re ahead of the curve.

Trevor Lawrence, Jacksonville Jaguars
This feels like a "put up or shut up" season for Trevor Lawrence. The Jaguars traded up to grab Travis Hunter at No. 2 overall, giving Lawrence one of the most explosive young WR duos in football alongside Brian Thomas Jr. Hunter, who was electric at Colorado, immediately becomes a game-changer.
Lawrence has flashed talent but hasn’t consistently lived up to his hype. That’s no longer acceptable. With the Jags also upgrading the offensive line and adding RB Bhayshul Tuten, they’re putting Lawrence in position to succeed. Pre-draft, he was hovering around QB20; now he’s jumped into the QB15 range and looks locked in as a strong QB2 with legitimate QB1 upside if it all clicks.

Bryce Young, Carolina Panthers
Bryce Young’s sophomore campaign showed real growth, and Carolina’s front office made it clear they’re all-in on helping him take the next step. The Panthers added WR Tetairoa McMillan, a physical, polished receiver who immediately improves the quick-game and intermediate passing attack. They also grabbed TE Mitchell Evans, a reliable big target who could develop into a strong TE2 option.
Adding McMillan to a group that already includes Xavier Legette, Adam Thielen, Ja’Tavion Sanders, and Jalen Coker means Young has more weapons and better spacing across the field. He’s firmly positioned as an intriguing QB2 moving forward, with sneaky upside if McMillan pops early.

C.J. Stroud, Houston Texans
After a down year statistically, the Texans clearly made it a priority to bolster C.J. Stroud’s weaponry. They drafted WR Jayden Higgins — a 6'4", 215-pound monster with sub-4.5 speed — giving Stroud the big, physical outside receiver this offense needed. Higgins brings a reliable skill set that should translate immediately, pairing nicely with Nico Collins and John Metchie III.
Houston didn’t stop there. They also grabbed Jaylin Noel and added Tackle Aireontae Ersery to continue strengthening the offense around their franchise QB.
Stroud now has a clear path to bounce back in a big way, and with a reloaded WR corps and better protection, he’s a strong buy-low candidate for dynasty managers looking for a QB2 with top-10 upside.
