Early Look: 2026 C2C Quarterback Rankings & Breakdown
Matthew Waldrop gives you his early look at his top quarterbacks in C2C.
Here’s my early look at the 2026 QB class for C2C. Some of these guys are household names, some are true freshmen, and others are portal players waiting for the right landing spot.
I’ll be honest, there were quarterbacks I doubted last year who proved me wrong, and there are still a few who make me scratch my head. Either way, here’s why I have each QB ranked where they are heading into 2026.
Top 30 C2C QB Rankings (2026 Class)
30. Tavien St. Clair – Ohio State
My favorite sleeper QB from the 2025 recruit class. Talented arm with mobility, flashes of playmaking, and the tools to grow. Sitting another year pushes him lower, and he still needs polish on reads and timing, but the upside is obvious.
29. Julian Lewis – Colorado
This is a shot off the hip for him having a good 2026 season. He was one of my favorite QBs from the 2025 recruit class and showed some good progression and growth throughout the year.
28. Jaden Craig – TCU
My favorite FCS transfer this cycle. Veteran QB with poise, quick release, and excellent pocket awareness. A clean fit who should elevate the offense immediately.
27. Aaron Philo – Florida
Huge riser for me. Likely to lock in at Florida following his OC. Steps into an offense loaded with weapons and thrives on timing throws. Expect a major value climb.
26. Dylan Raiola – Portal
“Mini Mahomes” lands this low due to uncertainty. He’s in the portal, hasn’t taken visits, and dominoes are already falling. Could land at a lower program and struggle. Reminds me of Malachi Nelson — elite pedigree, shaky landing.
25. Cedrick Bailey – NC State
Surprised he stayed. Dual-threat with a good arm and strong game sense. Could be a sneaky C2C contributor.
24. Marcel Reed – Texas A&M
This will surprise people. I just don’t see consistent NFL-level traits. Mechanics and decision-making remain concerns.
23. CJ Carr – Notre Dame
Strong arm and athleticism. Some will be surprised he’s this low, but until he proves himself as a passer, this feels like the right spot.
22. KaMario Taylor – Mississippi State
High-upside dual-threat QB. If he elevates the offense even slightly, he jumps quickly in these rankings.
21. Demond Williams -Washignton
Ups and downs in 2025, but I’m betting on the talent here. Limited NFL upside, but this range is about raw ability.
20. Kenny Minchey – Kentucky
Traits-first QB slowly climbing my rankings. A true wild card who I expect we’ll be talking about more by late 2026.
19. Byrum Brown – Auburn
Big arm, mobility, and followed his coach to Auburn. The SEC is the real test, but he’s a veteran QB — I think he’ll be fine.
18. Bear Bachmeier – BYU
Underrated from the 2025 class. He showed flashes in year one and is still developing as a passer, but the ceiling remains high.
