Arizona Cardinals
QB: Jacoby Brissett remains firmly in control of the starting job entering the season. Arizona even reworked his deal to include $15 million guaranteed, which is another pretty clear indication that the Cardinals are committed to him for 2026. This is still more interesting from a real-life football perspective than fantasy. Brissett can keep the offense functional, but I am not expecting him to suddenly become a difference-maker for dynasty managers. The bigger question is whether this offense can continue to be as efficient through the air once the regular season starts.
RB: This room suddenly has a lot more uncertainty. Jeremiyah Love is dealing with a high-ankle sprain and is considered week-to-week. The expectation is still that he has a chance to be ready for Week 1, but high-ankle injuries are not something I like messing around with, especially at running back. Love received 14 touches in his preseason debut, which looks even more questionable now knowing he was already dealing with something. Behind him, Bam Knight has been one of the biggest winners of camp. He has consistently taken advantage of his opportunities and has also started contributing on special teams, which could help him secure a roster spot. Trey Benson has gone in the opposite direction. He has barely participated in team work while recovering from meniscus surgery and now appears to be fighting just to remain on the roster.
WR: This receiver room has quietly become pretty deep. Marvin Harrison Jr. bounced back after some early drops and has put together a much better stretch of practices. Michael Wilson continues to make plays consistently, while Kendrick Bourne has been a solid addition. Reggie Virgil also came on strong late in camp and looks relatively secure. The real battle is at the bottom. Jalen Brooks, Ihmir Smith-Marsette, and Simi Fehoko are competing for what could be the sixth and final receiver spot, and Brooks has been gaining momentum after his strong preseason performances. There may not be a ton of immediate fantasy value there, but Arizona is going to have to cut a receiver who can play.
TE: Trey McBride is still great.
Should Be on Your Radar: Jeremiyah Love’s high-ankle sprain. This is easily the biggest fantasy development in Arizona. I am still extremely high on the talent. Love was one of the cleanest prospects in this class, and nothing he showed before the injury changed that. But high-ankle sprains can linger. Even if Love gets cleared for Week 1, the bigger question is whether he is actually 100 percent and whether Arizona decides to manage his workload early. That suddenly makes the rest of this backfield more relevant. Bam Knight has earned more trust throughout camp, while Tyler Allgeier gives Arizona another established option. And with Trey Benson struggling just to get healthy enough to compete, Knight has become much more interesting. Long term, this is still Love’s backfield. For redraft, though, I am going to be a little more cautious until we know he is completely healthy. The talent is elite. The ankle is now the variable.
