Caleb Williams, QB – Chicago Bears

Current KTC Rank: QB8
Projected Tier Jump: Into the Top 5

Caleb Williams may not have set the league on fire during his rookie season, but let’s be honest the deck was stacked against him. The Bears cycled through a disastrous coaching staff, limped to a 5–12 record, and gave up 68 sacks behind a broken offensive line. Despite the chaos, Williams still flashed the traits that made him a generational prospect. Now, everything around him is trending in the right direction.

Enter Ben Johnson.

Johnson comes over from Detroit where he helped revitalize Jared Goff’s career, building one of the most efficient and creative offenses in the league. His scheme leans into play-action, quick reads, and timing-based concepts—areas where Caleb already showed signs of strength. In fact, Williams posted a 95.2 passer rating on play-action and 99.2 on screens. Johnson is bringing in a simpler, faster-paced playbook to help Williams play in rhythm and make faster decisions.

And let’s not ignore the upgrades around him. GM Ryan Poles aggressively rebuilt the offensive line, adding Joe Thuney, Jonah Jackson, and Drew Dalman to the interior. Then in the draft, they gave Williams two major weapons: Colston Loveland and Luther Burden. Add that to DJ Moore, Cole Kmet, and D’Andre Swift, and we’re looking at a legitimate supporting cast.

This offense isn’t just about simplifying things but efficiency and execution. Johnson is building a system that will get Williams into favorable looks, keep him clean, and allow his off-script magic to shine when necessary. If this thing clicks, Williams has the tools and now the structure to become a top-5 dynasty quarterback by season’s end. Plus, his rushing upside only raises the ceiling.

Recent 12-Team Superflex Trades Involving Caleb Williams:

  • Caleb Williams + 2.03 for Kyler Murray + Jaylen Warren

  • Caleb Williams + Rome Odunze for Garrett Wilson + Breece Hall

  • Caleb Williams + 2026 1st + 2027 1st for Jayden Daniels

  • Caleb Williams for C.J. Stroud

  • Caleb Williams for 1.03 + 2026 2nd

He’s still being valued like a volatile asset, but that window might close fast if Ben Johnson unlocks his full potential.

J.J. McCarthy, QB – Minnesota Vikings

Current KTC Rank: QB14
Projected Tier Jump: Top 10

J.J. McCarthy might be one of the most overlooked assets in dynasty right now. He’s stepping into an ideal offensive situation with a head coach who maximizes quarterback efficiency, elite weapons around him, and the draft capital of a future franchise QB. Despite missing his entire rookie year with a meniscus injury, McCarthy enters 2025 as the clear starter in Minnesota, and his arrow is pointing way up.

Kevin O’Connell has built one of the most quarterback-friendly environments in the NFL. We’ve already seen him get the most out of guys like Sam Darnold and Kirk Cousins. Now he gets to mold a player with legit tools. McCarthy has a strong arm (61 mph velocity at the combine), real mobility (sub-6.9 three-cone), and the ability to make throws on the move while keeping his mechanics intact. His 72.3% completion percentage in his last season at Michigan wasn’t just inflated by short throws. He led the class in intermediate completions over the middle and showed high-level accuracy when off-script.

McCarthy thrived in a pro-style system under Harbaugh and used his rookie season to absorb the Vikings’ playbook. That developmental runway, paired with real institutional support, puts him a step ahead of your typical Year 2 starter. The offense features Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, T.J. Hockenson, and Aaron Jones and McCarthy's already getting valuable offseason reps with those guys, something that didn’t happen last year due to injuries and limited availability.

Let’s not forget the rushing upside, either. He found the end zone eight times on the ground over his final two seasons and has the athleticism to be a sneaky dual-threat option in the right game script. If things click even halfway, he’s a strong bet to move from mid-QB2 range into the QB1 conversation.

Recent 12-Team Superflex Trades Involving J.J. McCarthy:

  • J.J. McCarthy for 2026 1st + 2026 3rd

  • J.J. McCarthy for 1.12 + 2.12

  • J.J. McCarthy for 1.06

  • J.J. McCarthy + 2026 2nd for Garrett Wilson + 2026 3rd

  • J.J. McCarthy for Rome Odunze + Anthony Richardson

You won’t find many QBs outside the top 12 with this combination of athleticism, weapons, and coaching support. Buy now—before the breakout window slams shut.
