Week 8 was not the week we wanted. We finished 3-5 across game picks, totals, and player props, moving the season record to 49-25 overall.
That puts us at 66.2% on the season.
Not every week is going to be 7-1. Sometimes the board beats you, sometimes a few close spots go the wrong way, and sometimes you just miss. That is part of betting.
The important thing is not changing everything because of one losing week.
We have been profitable all season by staying disciplined, trusting the matchups, and avoiding the urge to chase. That approach does not change now.
Week 8 was a step back.
Week 9 is about getting back on track.

Army @ Memphis -5.5
I’m laying the points with Memphis here. The Tigers are averaging 509 yards per game, can beat you through the air with Marcus Stokes or on the ground, and that balance matters against an Army team that wants to slow everything down and control possession. If Memphis can create even a couple of early stops, they have the kind of offense that can force Army out of its preferred script.
I also like the spot. Memphis is at home, this is a huge AAC game, and Army is playing its second straight road game after another physical matchup. The key is whether Memphis can handle the option up front, and I trust this defensive line enough to believe they can.
The other thing I like is the margin for error Memphis has offensively. Army can shorten the game, but if the Tigers hit a few explosive plays and get into the 30s, I do not think Army is built to chase that kind of game.
