Week 3 is here, and now we finally have some real data to work with. Two weeks will never tell us everything, but injuries, usage, depth-chart movement, weather, and changing roles are already giving us clues about which dynasty storylines actually matter.
The goal of The Sunday Fantasy Brief stays the same: get you caught up quickly on what matters most before kickoff. No overreaction, no chasing one-week box scores, just the key news, dynasty implications, and situations I’ll be watching throughout the day.
The Lead Story
The player I am most interested in watching this week is C.J. Stroud. Houston is 0-2, but Stroud has actually played better than that record suggests. Through two games, he has thrown for 627 yards, added 44 more on the ground, and has yet to throw an interception. The bigger issue has been finishing drives, with just two passing touchdowns so far.
That could change in Week 3. Indianapolis has been one of the most favorable quarterback matchups in the league to start the season, allowing 706 passing yards and four touchdowns through two games. Stroud is also coming off a 55-attempt game, so the volume has absolutely been there.
The biggest question is whether Nico Collins can return from his hamstring injury. If he does, that gives Stroud his best weapon back. If he does not, Jaylin Noel becomes even more interesting after Stroud publicly praised his development and growing connection with him. This feels like a good bounce-back spot for the entire Houston passing game.
What I’m watching: Stroud’s efficiency in the red zone, whether Nico Collins returns, and if Jaylin Noel can turn his growing role into real production. If Stroud cannot get it going in this matchup, then I will start to have more concerns. But this is the type of spot where I expect the offense to finally show more life.

There are a lot of moving pieces heading into Week 3, so I would keep this focused on the situations that actually change fantasy or dynasty value.
Sunday 1 p.m.
DJ Moore/Keon Coleman, WR, Bills
Both are officially questionable and will be game-time decisions after being limited Friday. If Moore plays, he goes right back into the WR2 mix. If either sits, Khalil Shakir and Dalton Kincaid should see more work.
Jalen Coker, WR, Panthers
Coker is questionable with an ankle injury, but Dave Canales said he should be good to go after getting in limited practices Wednesday and Friday. Xavier Legette is also questionable and will be a game-time decision.
