Every devy draft has its “money rounds,” but the truth is simple: value doesn’t stop after Round 6. Every year, we see late-round bloomers, overlooked freshmen, system fits, and developmental swings turn into real assets. That’s the beauty of the devy format. It rewards managers who don’t stop scouting once the obvious names are gone and who stay sharp deep into the draft.

This piece highlights the players drafted in Round 7 or later who have outplayed their ADP and gained real traction in value. It doesn’t guarantee they’ll become future NFL starters; that’s never how this game works, but what it does show is that these prospects are trending up, creating windows to buy, stash, or simply re-evaluate where they fit in the long-term landscape.

And if you missed our breakdowns of Rounds 1–6, you can find those sections linked below. Now let’s dive into the gems that refused to stay buried.

Demond Williams, QB, Washington (7th Round)

Everyone knows I was a big Demond Williams guy heading into the season, and while it wasn’t always smooth, he’s absolutely improved his draft profile. In his first year as a full-time starter, Williams posted 231/330 for 2,850 yards, 21 touchdowns, and 8 interceptions, while adding 595 rushing yards and 6 more scores int he regular season. It wasn’t a perfect sophomore season, but context matters this was his first real run as QB1, and the flashes were undeniable.

Williams has always drawn Kyler Murray comparisons because of his 5’11”, 190-pound frame and elite speed, but what stands out is the arm talent. Many scouts note that Williams throws more like Russell Wilson, the ball jumps off his hand with true velocity, and you don’t see a “small quarterback” when he rips it. The question, as always with shorter QBs, is whether he can consistently operate between the tackles, handle vision windows, and limit turnover-worthy throws. That’s the final hurdle.

But as a prospect? Williams is an electric dual-threat with legitimate NFL tools. He’s accurate downfield, on time in the intermediate game, and dangerous as a mover without being run-first. The intangibles: toughness, leadership, competitiveness, all check out. He needs mechanical tightening, quicker decisions, and better ball security, but the foundation is real.

This offseason will be massive, especially if Washington loses its coach to another job. Still, for devy purposes, Williams has clearly risen. What was once a long-term gamble now looks like a player with an outside shot at Round 1 buzz if he continues his trajectory.

Denzel Boston, WR, Washington (7th Round)
